Since 1986 it has been my privilege to serve as editor of the Ohio Bicycle Events Calendar. Linda Apple’s painting, “Great Day”, on the cover of this year’s Calendar, depicts a cycling helmet hung by its straps from the handlebars of a parked bicycle at the end of a day’s ride.
