With the mailing of our event listing package to Ohio’s bicycle club and 2018 cycling event contacts, we have begun the process of creating the 2019 edition of the Ohio Bicycle Events Calendar. The packages were mailed on November 24 to the contact addresses we were given for 2018’s events. Promoters of new, not-listed events, those who provided no mailing address, or those who wish to get a head start will find…

As usual, we are beginning our annual Calendar project with a post-Thanksgiving mailing to bicycle clubs and ride hosts. Completed Event Listing Questionnaires provide us with the information we need to assemble the annual listings of events for late-February to early March publication. We expect the Questionnaire packages to be mailed next Friday so, club officers and ride hosts, be on the lookout for that all-important envelope! We also hope to see…
The Event Questionnaires for the 2017 edition of the Ohio Bicycle Events Calendar were mailed today! Event contacts and bicycle club officials should begin receiving our mailing on Friday, November 25. The packages were mailed to every event listed in our 2016 edition (provided we have a mailing address), and to every Ohio bicycle club for which we have a mailing address. Our questionnaire is the primary means by which we acquire…
We are preparing for publication of the 2017 edition of the Ohio Bicycle Events Calendar. The first step, as always, is information collection. To gather the material that will appear in next year’s Calendar, we send out copies of our Event Questionnaire to hosts and promoters of this year’s events and to bicycle clubs. New events and those without postal addresses can access the form via our Support page: Ohio.bike/support/ As always…
It’s still pretty early in the 2015 cycling season but we have already entered several corrections and additions on our online Calendar! So, as we progress into the summer months and you use the printed Calendar to scope out the rides, don’t forget to check for updates. Visit the Touring or Racing sections on this website (see links at the top of this page) and check for additions, changes, and corrections… stay…
We’re in the layout phase of production now, actually putting the Calendar together in a final form before shipping off to the printers’. We won’t have a publication date until we receive and approve proofs and get into the press queue. The Web version will go live when we go on-press! ‘Til then, the deadlines have all passed and we’re accepting no additional ride listings or ads for the printed version of…

The road to the 2015 Ohio Bicycle Events Calendar is paved with good intentions. We were all set to get an early start on our Questionnaire mailing when we went to the supply cabinet and discovered to our dismay… not enough envelopes! Gad! So, the envelopes have been ordered (with expedited shipping) and we have every hope the mailing will go out next week. The intent was good; the inventory was not.…
Today we posted the Ohio Bicycle Events Calendar “2015 Event Questionnaire” to our Event Support Page. A completed Questionnaire is a requirement for listing in the upcoming Calendar. We will be mailing printed copies of the Questionnaire package next week to all events listed in the 2014 Calendar for which we have postal addresses. Event promoters need to carefully read the Questionnaire instructions and please, please, please, DON’T email the completed form to us!…
It happens every year, about this time… we’re seemingly overwhelmed by the last-minute influx of questions, requests, and mail all trying to meet our publication deadlines. Oh, the mail! Emails and stacks of physical letters pour in and we try and keep them straight. Often, event promoters send in both an email and a paper version of the same material, so twice the paper there. We register and deposit donation and advertising…
